Amanda and Chris have already been doing what many couples aspire to do: they work well together. Yes, it’s in a business partner kind of way, but as Phillip and I know—this is no easy feat! And working together in business is a true test of the strength of your relationship not only as business partners, but as partners in marriage. During their engagement session, I learned more about Amanda and Chris’ Atlanta-based marketing company and the challenges they face regarding work-life balance. We talked about how “connected” we are to the rest of the world via the Internet, but as a society we are, sadly, not very in tune with other people on a human level. Chris expressed how he doesn’t even like looking at his phone at times because of what it represents (I know the feeling!), and how it makes us easily accessible to everyone at all times if we allow it. Both of them yearn for that face-to-face human interaction with others, and I couldn’t agree more!
Amanda and Chris’ wedding at the Harbor Club on Lake Oconee served as the ideal backdrop for their big celebration which allowed room lots of that human interaction. 🙂 It was just the right combination of romantic, traditional, DIY, and fun all rolled into one! The previous rainy weather cast a romantic glow over the whole venue, providing gorgeous lighting for their outdoor portraits. The entire wedding day had an air of understated elegance, which matched Amanda’s style perfectly.
Congratulations, Amanda and Chris! We couldn’t be happier for you two and all you have to look forward to in marriage!
Thank you so much to Eileen and Blume Photography! Your work is amazing and has given us forever memories!
