For Amanda and Chris, it wasn’t your typical “love at first sight” romance. The two started out as friends and supported each other through many of life’s ups and downs for several years. Through it all, however, they grew closer, fell in love, and realized about each other, “It was always you.” Since getting engaged, they’ve started their own Atlanta-based marketing company, where they work together as business partners. In just a few weeks they will officially tie the knot and become life partners!
Since Amanda and Chris love the outdoors, Atlanta’s Lullwater Park served as the perfect location for their engagement portraits. It was a bit rainy, but even the weather couldn’t dampen their spirits. Whenever I gave prompts to be intimate with each other, they ended up laughing. “We’re best friends, so we don’t always know how to be romantic with each other!” Amanda said. But hey, girl, best friends can be lovers, too! And you could always use a little bit of romance in a relationship. 😉 We can’t wait to celebrate with you guys at your wedding soon, Amanda and Chris!
How did you two meet?
Chris and I met at work. We were friends long before we started dating and it helped strengthen our relationship.
Bride, how would you describe your groom?
Chris is my very best friend- he brings out the best in me. He’s the hardest working person I know, he’s stoic, he’s funny and he’s incredibly giving. He’s also just a tad stubborn 😉
Groom, how would you describe your bride?
Amanda is my best friend. She is very kind and always looking to help other people. She is incredibly smart and a very driven person. She loves to be helpful and make sure everyone else is having a great time. She is a great complement to my personality, and she can be a tad bit dramatic at times 🙂
What do you want your friends to say about your wedding?
Chris and I aren’t overly formal people- there are traditional elements to our wedding but we don’t want it to feel over-rehearsed or produced. We’ve talked a lot about the night and how we want to pull off a vibe where people leave saying “that was a lot of fun- awesome party” but not because of any big extra measure- just from the atmosphere, the band, hanging out with us and some fun elements (corn hole boards, possibly the fire pit- weather permitting)
