Lauren & Charlie’s romantic Athens wedding was an elaborate celebration with great food, great music, and unforgettable moments with their family and friends! The gorgeous ceremony took place inside the stone walls of Athens’ historic Emmanuel Episcopal church, where the candlelit ambience set an appropriate tone for the special love these two wonderful people share. From there the party moved to the one and only Athens Country Club for an amazing wedding reception! (Do you remember how cute these two were during their fun fall engagement session in Athens, GA?)

The sheer quantity and beauty of floral arrangements really stood out, bringing together the entire design of the day in white, green, and slate. And don’t you think the bridesmaids blue-gray dresses provided the perfect “pop” against the bouquets?! So pretty!

For us as wedding photographers, the most beautiful parts of any wedding are the personal moments — the emotional culmination of years of love shared between parents to their son or daughter, preparing them for this big new step in the bride and groom’s life together. We loved capturing so many sweet interactions on this day (often unnoticed by others). I definitely got teary-eyed when Lauren’s dad saw her in her dress the first time, and all the encouragement shared among this sweet couple and their siblings, too!
