“Oh what a night!!” Some months before their big day became a timeless moment in history, that’s the phrase Lizzy said she hoped might sum up her and Cory’s wedding. Of course “singing is involved here!” she stressed. And let me just say, anytime you hang out with these two, you can be sure music, dancing, and laughter is soon to follow! (You already know that if you saw their crazy (and crazy gorgeous) engagement session in Charlotte!)
We drove up from our Atlanta photography studio the day before, to see the venue. Their wedding at The Laboratory Mill in North Carolina was so elegant (a thoughtful ensemble of blacks, golds, whites and earthy greens, a soft decor within the vintage stone of the historic mill, warmed by lights and champagne). It was also cold! A cold front blew in almost single-digit bone-chilling temperatures, and these two adventurers along with their awesome bridal party braved it! But above it all was an undeniable atmosphere of whimsy and fun!
“We hope that our guests find this to be the best way to start a new year. What better way to celebrate the new year than with family, friends, good food and champagne?!” Lizzy said. Those friends and family, she said, were thoughtfully invited because of “their lasting impact in our lives.” No doubt — if the celebration for these two is any indication, they’re blessed to have some of the best people in the world around them!
We were sad the night ever had to end. Ringing in the new year with Lizzy and Cory (and with Lizzy’s sister and her husband, a former #BlumeCouple we adore, whose little son we also finally got to meet!) is something we’ll always remember. Here’s to a bright 2018!
And here’s to you two, Lizzy and Cory! We’re excited about what God has in store for you. Whatever it is, we have a feeling you’re gonna have fun with it.

[…] Lizzy & Cory The Laboratory Mill, Lincolnton NC […]
12 years of being Lizzy’s friend, I have seen her go through all the emotions, and most of the time, Lizzy is a walking joy. But I witnessed peak happiness when she met Cory and when it all culminated to one special night when they celebrated their love with their closest. What an honor to have been included in such a magical journey. Can you just imagine what the rest of their lives will be like? It can only get better from here.
We see a bright future! Best wishes, Veronica and Bill
Lizzy and Cory,
Your wedding was beautiful and the two of you are perfect together. I am so glad I was able to be a part of the celebration. I wish you all the happiness.
