“lucky!” there’s no other word to describe it. on the day of caitlyn and gary’s engagement session (which happened to fall on saint patrick’s day!), we arrived on location at lull water park to find a gorgeous scene set for us. the early onset of spring — flora in full bloom, luscious green grass growing thick on the hills, and warm light falling on soft mossy banks. and, appropriately for this wondrous time of year, love was in the air! for a day that started with rain in the forecast, it couldn’t have been more perfect. (did i mention that even caitlyn’s maiden name begins with an O’!? i’m telling’ you, the irish really are lucky!)

as we climbed steep hills, crossed barefoot through the river, and listened to gary serenade his bride-to-be, i was only a little surprised to hear caitlyn say, “all of this reminds me exactly of our last time together here!” if gary and caitlyn’s love and affection for each other were less apparent, i might have a hard time imagining such an adventurously romantic getaway anywhere outside of ancient camelot. but rest assured, when caitlyn and gary are around, atlanta might as well be a land far, far away.
