when i look at the photograph above, i sometimes get tickled imagining andrea’s and josh’s heads (out of frame) magically replaced by those of mickey and minnie mouse — mickey’s happy-go-lucky smile, minnie’s flirtatious giggle and batted eyelashes. an idyllic picture of storybook love. after a short time observing this sweet couple’s mannerisms and playful interactions, i was struck at how closely they actually resemble those iconic characters. appropriate, then, that andrea and josh are HUGE walt disney fans; their wedding is going down this august, at the most magical place on earth: the walt disney world, orlando. so, i dunno, maybe it’s the disney association that caused me to imagine the similarities between our animated duo and these real-world lovebirds. or maybe it’s just andrea and josh’s charm, easy laughter, good-natured humor, always positive outlook, and completely warm personalities that make me believe their life together truly will be a personal fairy tale.

one thing was sure: eileen and i wanted their engagement portraits to capture the bright color and idealism they exude. so among the many tender moments, we also made it a point to goof around and share in a ton of fun with these two! as you would expect, andrea’s transition was always seamless. one moment a kid-at-heart, the next a princess — and josh faithfully executing the role of constant companion or of prince. no love story could be scripted so well.

hope to “c” you real soon, andrea and josh! we’re so thankful you found us, and for the time we’ve gotten to share with you both! “y?” because we like you. we know your marriage will be nothing less than magical. enjoy every minute! 🙂
