what can we possibly say about stephanie and cliff? that’s a rhetorical question, of course. there’s no end to what we could say. the problem is deciding where to begin. this most excellent couple already has left a huge, positive impression on our lives, and we count ourselves lucky to have made a few memories with them along the way. (although we’d count ourselves even luckier to make a few more in the future!) from the local pizza joint to jelly beans, from simple kind words to infant attire, stephanie and cliff have demonstrated a generosity and love toward us that, i believe, overflows from the generosity and love they show to each other. i just hope we can somehow bless their lives as much in return. believe me: that will take a lot of work.

for starters, though, we hope these images will stay with you two for the rest of your lives, stephanie and cliff — in your home and in your minds to remind you of the amazing way in which you began your marriage. hard to imagine, but it will get even more amazing with time. enjoy it! we look forward to watching your already impressive love grow. 🙂

the man’s response to funky wedding pumps: scottish plaid socks? if only i had known. i could have not worn them more intentionally. no, i joke. i’m a huge fan. 😉

the hour of stephanie and cliff’s wedding was potentially a little intimidating. we were shooting the portraits and ceremony outdoors at high noon — on what ended up being a very bright day, casting very unattractive shadows upon all the happy faces. thankfully, we were well prepared with our brand new alien bees. no, not honey-making insects from another planet. rather, very powerful flashes that helped us disperse all the darkness. (woohoo! go team!)
