“Once is not enough.” I love this thought — the theme of Linda and Nate’s wedding. (Let me rephrase that: the theme of Linda and Nate’s wedding “tour.” ) When we received Linda’s inquiry about wedding photography, we immediately fell in deep, wonder-struck love with the concept she described. We had never heard anything like it before — it was completely unique!
After their engagement, Linda and Nate mulled over the idea of a typical wedding near their home in Atlanta. However, after considering the many places their family and friends would be traveling from for the celebration — and especially those who would be unable to make it due to age, illness, timing, etc. — this amazing couple decided to take their show on the road! They would bring the wedding(s) to their loved ones instead. A legitimate “rock tour” of weddings around the country. Their celebrations took place at Jazz Fest in New Orleans, in New York’s Central Park, San Francisco’s famous Japanese tea gardens with images overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, on Georgia’s beautiful Sea Island, in a picturesque adobe chapel in Austin where Linda wore cowboy boots, and finally a grand finale at home in Atlanta, GA. And what rock tour would be complete without a performance at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater?! That’s where we caught up with Linda and Nate, and captured the images you see here. It was especially fun for us, as theirs was the first outside wedding to take place at this iconic venue! (I wouldn’t be surprised if you start seeing more soon. What a great place!)
Most people have trouble coordinating the many details of just one wedding! Linda and Nate pulled off a whole string of them — and with style! Only a couple as special as they — as easy-going, adaptable and fun-loving — could do it. Sure, the soles of Nate’s shoes had to be super-glued back on last-minute. The unexpected will always happen! But when you have the secret ingredient these two possess, it all becomes part of a delicious recipe that everyone is invited to come together and enjoy!
Linda, how would you describe your groom?
“Nate is kind, charming, intelligent, generous, loving and a romantic at heart. Never meets a stranger. Loyal to his friends, family and his students.”
How about you, Nate? What comes to mind when you think of Linda?
“Ridiculously hardworking and dedicated as a mom and fiance. Very strong. The most empathetic person I know.”
This is an amazing wedding journey. What do want everyone to go away saying about sharing this experience with you?
“Just that they had a good time and are happy for us.”
