finally, silver white winter has melted to spring! for eileen and me, that means… err.. (huh..? wha..? oooooh… fiddle sticks!!!)
correction: eileen just informed me that the season is currently, well, autumn. (and now she’s laughing at me.) okay, so that’s a little embarrassing. but this blog is all about keepin’ it real, right? that minor blooper is a simple mistake that anyone could… (okay, she’s still laughing — really loud now. it’s becoming a little difficult to hear myself think.) all right, so it’s late; maybe my mind’s not as sharp as… (tell ya what; i’m just gonna wait till the laughter dies down then try again.) scratch the above..
finally, the onset of autumn! for eileen and me, that means the weather is becoming perfect for a few of our favorite things: Read More Here how the camping under all the changing colors of the forest, rock climbing, pumpkin spice lattes, roasting s’mores over the fireplace, and “girls in white dresses with white satin sashes.” (sorry. that would have been a much better lead-in if i could have kept “silver white winters that melt into spring.”) 😛
seriously, i can’t imagine a better time for a photo session. our recent engagement shoot with katherine and craig was beautiful, especially with the breeze blowing over the shoals — and, of course, the quintessential white dress. and talk about keepin’ it real: these two were out-of-this-world awesome in front of the camera — relaxed, in love, and not afraid to let it show. and soo funny! we were laughing the whole evening together. well, see for yourself…
bling, bling! (am i supposed to put a comma between those “blings?” that’s something they don’t teach you in grammar school.)
the covered bridge at watson mill state park is amazing. i love the way it creeks and groans when cars pass through, and it seeps that sweet smell of ancient water-proofing tar. also, it’s full of bats. i actually climbed up into the rafters for a few shots and came closer to one of the flying rats than i wanted — not to mention coming down covered in 100-year-old grime and guano.
oh, another one of my favorite things… walking barefoot in the water!
interestingly, i’ve known craig for most of my life, and i never would have described him as the sappy sort. funny how a good woman will change a man: he’s layin’ it on thick in some of these shots, eh? well, i can’t blame him. he definitely found a keeper. and we couldn’t be happier for them both. 🙂
congratulations, you two! you’re off to a great start. can’t wait for the wedding day!
Look at little Katie all grown up! These are beautiful and you look so very happy! Congratulations! I wish you all the best and am so proud of the beautiful woman you have become!
Thanks Mrs. Robinson! Philip and Eileen did an awesome job! And to think these are only a few they took! Again, thank you for your kind words!
