Welcome back to the Blume blog! We’re finally back from vacation. It was a wonderful, much needed retreat with our little girls. We would happily live as beach bums with them — if it weren’t for this! This is why we’re always so excited to get back to work after our little annual getaway. This uniquely gorgeous evening at Lullwater Park with Kami and Brian is the perfect example of why we love our job. Who else gets the opportunity just to hang out, explore, goof off and really connect with new people this way?! We’re blessed — and that’s never truer than with a couple like this. We met Kami for the first time at this shoot, although Brian had proudly and accurately described all her amazing qualities when he first visited our studio. Between traveling for work and training for triathlons (Awesome!), Kami is seriously a superwoman. But we loved hearing her brag on Brian, who’s truly been showing how he cherishes her through his extra help with the wedding planning. We’d like to brag on them both:  We just love being around this sweet couple, and we can’t wait to celebrate this wedding! You guys are awesome, Kami and Brian — and perfect together! Congrats again. 🙂

How did you two meet?
“We met through mutual friends. The first time we met was at a Mexican resturant. Our mutual friends had invited each of us to the resturant to meet up with a group for dinner. We sat next to each other, and Kami proceeded to convince me of the importance of insurance. I tried to teach her the balance sheet effect of insurance accounting proceeds. Some very exciting conversations!” – BM

Kami, how would you describe Brian?
“My best friend. Brian is funny, calm, cool, collected; he is also a little goofy. He’s one of the smartest people I know. And he is kind, caring, and giving. He is strong  and wise beyond his time. He is the ‘slow and steady wins the race’ kind of man. He is patient. He is encouraging. He is challenging. He is my love. He makes me feel capable, confident, and brings peace and joy to my life. He is my best friend, the love of my life.”

Brian, what comes to mind when you think of Kami?
“The woman who makes me smile in the morning, smile in the evening and all day long. She is a great listener and teacher. She challenges me to be a smarter and better person each day. She is adventerous, strong-willed and intellegent. She loves the challenges of life and doing the hard things to prove she can. She loves the outdoors and doing activities outdoors. She loves things that are old and classic looking (like me).”

We know you’re excited about your upcoming wedding! After all the planning, what do you hope the final result will be like?
“Amazing and adorably sweet. Simple yet elegant. Beautiful but not extravagent. ”
