if my eyes were more often open, i know i’d see many more of them. but some moments in life so clearly reveal God’s heart at work, it’s unmistakable. thursday was one of those moments. faith and favor, our new nieces from uganda, came home to be reunited with their family — eileen’s brother jonathan, his wife sarah, and the twins’ new baby sister rory. and the rest of us met the twins for the first time. sarah returned from uganda just earlier, while jonathan waited for the girls’ visas to arrive, and our “ninang” joanne met him in africa to help travel. for all the glorious details of the whole adoption adventure, check out sarah’s blog.

as photographers and filmmakers, eileen and i are privileged to have front-row seats for many people’s most defining moments. i’ve never been more thrilled to crash the party than i was thursday. the level of joy, the excitement, the peace — it’s just, wow.. good.
