Long-time followers of our blog likely recognize Elizabeth’s kind eyes and enchanting smile. (They certainly have Trenn’s attention!) We’ve spent a lot of time with Elizabeth’s family over the years — from her and her sister’s senior portraits, to family sessions and even a photography internship. Actually, Eileen has known Elizabeth since she was born; this whole lovely crew is just like family to us! So it was pretty important to us that this “Trenn” character was a suitable match for our beloved, honorary sister. As it turns out, he’s amazing and a welcome addition to the family. Congrats, Trenn. You hit the jackpot!

Funny enough, Elizabeth and Trenn’s engagement shoot began some time ago up at Rock City, in Lookout Mountain, GA. It rained from the start. But Elizabeth and Trenn are experts at embracing life, making lemonade out of lemons! We love that about them! Then, after just minutes of shooting, the bottom fell out. It was the most rain I’ve every seen; and we were evacuated out of the canyons, soaking wet, due to flash floods. Amazingly, we got a few really fun shots along the way! We think you’ll agree. 😉

A few weeks later, Elizabeth and Trenn finally were able to visit us in Athens for a “make-up” shoot. And, boy, was it worth it! They were just radiant in the sun and the warmth of this spring day. And, personally, I’m a huge fan of the juxtaposition between these two shoots. I just love it!

Where did you two meet?
“We met on a missions trip in Lineville, AL. We both attended Reinhardt University, but did not get the chance to get to know each other until we both served with SIFAT.”

So what are you guys into? What do you like to do together? 
“Indy music, Jesus, ministry, Lord of the Rings, food, each other, kayaking, British television, restaurant hunting, camping, food, filling out questionnaires at 2am..” (Ha! A comedian!) “..improvisational comedy, food, clothes, thrifting, did we mention food?”

Elizabeth, convince me that Trenn is good enough for you. What do you like about this guy?
“He is the bee’s knees 🙂 The cutest, funniest, and kindest man I know. I feel like I know myself better just by knowing him. He has a constant desire to do what is right, and loyalty that rivals Hachi.”

That’s a pretty great review of you, Trenn! How about you? What do you love about your Elizabeth?
“She is a truly amazing woman.  She is gorgeous, stylish, a master in the kitchen, and quite possibly the most thoughtful person I know.  She is the yin to my yang.  She is 50 pounds of energy in a 10 pound bag.”
