…did we get ya??
great. there’s nothing like a good scare on halloween. we hope you had the scariest one ever! eileen and i certainly enjoyed it, what with the family jack-o-lantern carving (a Blume tradition we introduced eileen to last year), candy eating (i get double since eileen doesn’t like chocolate!!), and trick-or-treating. well, we didn’t actually knock on any doors, but we greatly enjoyed wandering the neighborhood, pretending to be frightened by all the cute kiddies in their costumes.
but now that the holiday is over, take courage. we’ll be back in just a day or two with some brand new work from caley and andy’s wedding! and, in other news, our Facebook page just surpassed 500 fans! we couldn’t be more humbled. thanks for all the support and for helping us get the word out there. keep enjoying the images and stories, and if you’re on Facebook, please join the ever-growing fan base here!
in the meantime, we’d like to know which of the above jack-o-lanterns you like best. (“add a comment” below.) just a little friendly competition. one is mine, and the other is eileen’s; we’re not saying which is which. may the best pumpkin win!
The one on the left. : )
I like the pumpkin on the right!
I like the eye…is it “Eye”leen’s?
I vote for Jonathan’s comment, because it tickled my fancy. But in general, I like lefty
For aesthetic value and just plain eye appeal, the one on the left is my favorite..why?…because it reminds me of a flower. However, the one on the right is equally creative and made me laugh…so..they BOTH win. I am so awed by how God expresses His creative nature through the gifts he reveals through his creatures and creation. You two are are so fun to know. Love you both.
JP, it’s “Eye Lens”.
For degree of difficulty I give thumbs up to the eye but I like the humor reflected by the cannibalistic pumpkin. For scare factor I give the edge to the pumpkin on the right.
I’m pitiful..didn’t recognize it as an eye.
all right… but now that you see it as an eyeball, you like the cannibal pumpkin better, right, right!!?? oh, who am i kidding. the verdict is in. eileen takes this year’s prize.
For the record…I called it and was going to say something about Eileen’s pumpkin, but Jonathan scared me out of it saying he wasn’t sure who carved what. 🙂
