i’d like to dedicate the title of today’s blog post to (no doubt she saw this coming) mrs. jessica bittner, matron of the good-lookin’ family you now see before you. once upon a time, in the somewhat distant past, jessica and i were in high school together. yes, and my ears are still ringing with the high-pitched, girlish exclamation she so often belted out: “awwwww!” why don’t we guys squeal with such delight at every kind word or cute puppy? i dunno. maybe we’re too cynical. or maybe our vocal cords just won’t allow us to reach octaves barely audible to the human ear. whatever the excuse, i am willing to make an exception in the case of this adorable family. AWWWWWWWWWW! (oh, sorry. should have warned you to cover your ears.)

i should have known that jessica’s always cheery, ultra-sweet personality would naturally be passed on to her family. now that her and chris’ two little bambinos are growing up, it’s amazing to see how they take after their terrific parents. despite an overdose on car travel and a busted lip for mini-chris (happened just as they were leaving for this shoot), kaylee and christopher warmed up to us right away and were such a treat to goof around with. playful, funny, and wonderfully curious and active! just the way we like ’em. 🙂

it was so good spending a beautiful afternoon with you guys, jessica and chris. we love your big, happy family and can’t wait to see all God has in store for y’all. whatever comes, we hope these images remind you of all your good times together!
