The sense of warmth and genuine caring I get around these two is inspiring. Eileen and I first met Ashley briefly when we photographed her brother’s wedding some years ago. She has always been a bright light, smiling and happy for those around her! So we couldn’t be more thrilled that — despite her slight addiction to GSU football, which very nearly could have caused her to miss out on Chris — this guy who’s perfect for her kept on pursuing what is so obviously meant to be. Here’s to tacos and to an exciting wedding to come!
“Although Chris and I both attended Georgia Southern University and work less than 5 miles from each other, our paths never crossed until the fall of 2015. Chris and I initially met on a dating site where Chris reached out to me. We chatted on the site and, after getting to know each other a bit, we decided to meet for dinner. Little did I know that Chris had scheduled our date on a Thursday in which Georgia Southern was playing football.
“Seeing as I am a virulent Georgia Southern football fan, I cancelled the date to make sure I didn’t miss one minute of Eagle football. Chris was persistent as ever though and quickly rescheduled our date for the next week. Chris took me to a small taco stand that had been converted from an old Quizno’s, as you could tell from the re-used decor. Our first date was great as we spent hours talking and learning about one another. We scheduled another date from there and the rest is, as they say, history.”
“Chris is strong, warm-hearted, and caring. Chris has the ability to comfort me when life becomes difficult. He is there for me emotionally and helps me face the day to day challenges of life. Chris provides clarity for me in seeing situations from different viewpoints and that makes me a stronger woman. Chris is adventurous, and through our adventures I have been able to come out of my shell and experience more of what the world has to offer. Chris has opened up a whole new world to me that I never knew existed. I can’t wait to see where our adventures take us next!”
Chris, how would you describe your wonderful bride-to-be?!
“Ashley is a kind, loving, and caring woman who genuinely wants the best for everyone in the world. Ashley is always willing to sacrifice a piece of herself or her time for the benefit of others. Ashley is also very creative and crafty and enjoys designing and working on new projects around the house. These projects can range from revamping an old piece of furniture to landscape design for our home. Ashley is the love of my life and makes me a better man.
“We want everyone to have a nice time, share in our love, and see how happy we are together. We also want everyone to enjoy the venue, eat lots of good food, and to have danced so much they their butts are sore the next day!”
