the studio has been humming of late with the arrival of package trucks, the rustle of tissue paper, and the popping of bubble wrap as eileen and i box up another series of eye-popping art books. bound for the loving homes of big families, seniors anticipating graduation, and excited newlyweds, every book contains memories we hope will be thumbed through, shared, and cherished for generations. in an age when most photographs never leave the laptop and are viewed only in pixels, it’s easy to forget how extraordinary images appear in print — particularly in a painstakingly produced high-end art book! every color and shape looks ready to leap off the page! we couldn’t be happier with the way the workmanship of these art pieces complements the images we put into them.

regrettably, you can’t see the books in all their “living color” here on the blog. (you’ll have to swing by the studio sometime for that!) but that doesn’t diminish the very cool, custom design work eileen puts into every one. i am more impressed with every book she puts together. (in our work, it is definitely convenient to be married to such a talented design artist!) anyway, we’ve enjoyed seeing these visions come to life so much, we thought you might like to take a peek, too.
