We just love Brittney and Josh! We spent a recent evening with them after their engagement session. (We loved that some of their closest friends and siblings were there as well, including Josh’s sister who helped set these two up!) We were reminded yet again why we’re soooo looking forward to their wedding. Sitting down with them feels like being in the company of very old friends. They’re completely genuine, down-to-earth, easy to joke with, and just plain fun.
We certainly had a huge amount of fun exploring the University of Georgia campus with them during this shoot — an incredibly gorgeous day to be outside! In fact, our first shot of the day started out on a humorous note — with a student barging through the door of the building you see here, telling us bluntly to “keep it down” as she was studying inside. hehe. Oh, the stresses of finals week, eh? Rather than rain on our parade, we enjoyed a good little laugh over it and went on our jolly way! Josh was a super trooper, especially as we pushed him right out of the “typical portrait session” comfort zone, down onto the ground and up onto high narrow walls. The crazy things a man will do for love! It’s pretty clear Josh would do anything for Brittney, and vice versa. We asked these two teachers to give us a little perspective on their relationship. Here’s what they said:
Brittney, so what’s so great about this Josh character?
“Josh is the perfect gentleman. He always puts me first and always opens all doors (including my car door) for me. He is a wonderful loving son and a great brother. He is the definition of servant leader. He absolutely loves tennis….everything about it…playing it, watching it, buying gear for it. He is a good southern boy as well. He is a wonderful teacher/coach. Josh loves and encourages his students and players through anything and everything!”
How would you describe your lovely bride-to-be, Josh?
“Brittney is a beautiful lady with a big heart for me, and for our families and friends. She loves Jesus, me, UGA, her kids at school and her church.”
We’re inspired by you two, Brittney and Josh. We can’t wait to celebrate your amazing marriage soon!
Hey there …
I am Josh Dillard’s mother, Beth.
First of all, thank you so much for the beautiful engagement photos you took of Brittney and Josh. You captured their personalities so perfectly and I’m just so pleased with and impressed by your work. What a gift!
I wonder if I can share a link to their photos on my Facebook page? Do you allow that? Or no? I won’t be offended if you say no; I just didn’t want to share without your permission(s).
I would love to have a copy of the video at the bottom of their engagement page, too. Is that possible?
Thank you again. I look forward to seeing you at the wedding.
Bless you!
… Beth
Hi, Beth! Thanks for the sweet note. We’ve loved getting to spend this time with Josh and Brittney. Yes, I’ll send you an email. You are certainly welcome to share a link to their pictures on Facebook! 🙂
Ditto what Beth said!! I’m Brittney’s mom- the expressions you captured took me back to her toddler years- she still has some of the EXACT expressions!! LOL- she closes her eyes when she laughs- even as an infant! And the way they look at each other- melts this mama’s heart. I would love an email re: purchasing videos or a photo or two. Also- she is gone this week on a school trip and I’m trying to help arrange hair and makeup timeline for her and hair appts for bridal party- also for the after ceremony photos and sunset photos- what is your expected timelines for that? Thanks in advance for for making this so special…
