Lauren and David’s first ever meeting was anything but typical. Maybe it’s harder to ignore the love of your life when she suddenly walks into your life, then just as abruptly throws herself out of an airplane.

Its been a while since that first skydiving class at Skydive Monroe, where they learned to solo dive together. (Solo dive together? Is that an oxymoron?) Anyway, skydiving continues to be part of their exciting life together, including their amazing group of skydiving friends who celebrated the day after this wedding by jumping together.

Incredibly, Lauren’s grandmother (seen below, helping her into her jewelry) even showed up and joked she was going to try skydiving with all those crazy kids — then she actually went through with it!! Amazing!

Lauren had this to say about her soul mate: He’s “loyal, talented, exciting, quiet, calm, scattered, handsome. David adds a lot of fun and silliness to my life which helps me overcome some of my own emotional issues. He has introduced me to many new hobbies and activities I would never have known about otherwise. He enriches my life daily.”

The way David looks at Lauren already says a lot, but he also gushed that she is “energetic, loving, loyal. She has a huge heart, especially for animals. She keeps me straight and helps pull me back from the brink of my sometimes crazy obsessions in hobbies.” Speaking of crazy and varied hobbies, you’ll notice David doing the last-minute sewing before the ceremony. He also handmade his own wedding band and the cufflinks for him and his groomsmen!

We absolutely love how these two balance and refine each other, all with a tenderness that inspires us. Enjoy their 1920’s inspired wedding, complete with art deco style invitations, stylish hairpieces, peacock feathers, flapper dresses and a classic car. Congratulations, Lauren and David! We have loved celebrating with you and are thrilled to see where life takes you next!!
