Justin is an ER nurse, and Shea is a nurse in Labor and Delivery. So there’s really no excuse not to be there; the bride and groom will have you fixed up in no time! I probably could have guessed at this couple’s profession; they exude the kindness and attentiveness you’d hope for in a caretaker — qualities that serve their relationship well, too. They’re both great listeners and have a high dose of energy to pour into their passions. (Happily, they’re passionate about each other.) I’ll never forget when, during one shot, Shea ran toward Justin as if to jump into his arms. Only Justin didn’t budge or swing her gracefully through the air. He stood solid as an oak, just grinning. Shea latched on to his unmoving frame with a vice-like grip, her arms around the trunk of his body and her legs wrapped around his. She kept smiling and squeezing as she hovered above the ground. We all broke down laughing. (Okay, okay.. I know you’re dying to see it. I’ll include the pictures down below.)

How did you two meet?
“We went to high school together but were only friends at the time. We didn’t start dating until after college. Justin lived in Savannah when we started dating, so there were many trips back and forth until he moved back to Athens. We also got engaged in Savannah so it will always be a special place for us.”

Shea, describe Justin for us.
“Justin is so funny, he is always making me laugh. He is also a very caring and kind-hearted person. He definitely makes me a better person. I feel like we complement each other perfectly in so many ways. He is patient, I’m usually not. He is an awesome cook, I am definitely not. He is also the best traveling partner a girl could ask for.  I’m very excited about starting our life together.”

Justin, how would you describe Shea?
“Shea is a very hard working nurse and spends a lot of time at the hospital, but when we have time I enjoy traveling and spending time together. Shea is beautiful, outgoing and always ready to have a good time. I also appreciate that she is honest and speaks her mind. I’m looking forward to waking up next her every morning.”

Your big day is getting closer! After all the planning, what three words do you think will sum up your wedding?
“Elegant, fun, and relaxed. Mostly we want our friends to have a fun time at our wedding. We are hoping the atmosphere is relaxed and that everyone has a great experience.”
