Eileen and I are so happy for Allison and Chris! We met Allison and her parents when they came into the studio for her initial wedding consultation. It was pretty clear from Allison’s description of Chris, and the excitement about their wedding, that they had found something special in one another. We finally met Chris when the engagement session came around. We love how these two interact — with kindness, gentleness, and a lot of fun-loving humor! An absolutely critical foundation to any marriage. And we’ve loved getting to know their families through the process, too. These two have an amazing support structure and oh so much to look forward to. Congratulations, Allison and Chris! We’re thrilled to be a part of this part of your history together.

We asked Allison and Chris a few questions about their history together. Here’s the digs:

So how did you two meet?
“We met the day after Allison moved into the Station, an off-campus housing community at UGA. Chris had been living there for two years. We both had some mutual friends, and we all hung out together when we went to downtown Athens. Chris asked Allison to his fraternity semi-formal one night in September as she was coming home. We went to the semi-formal and had a great time. We went a few weeks after that without talking much, but we still said hello when we saw each other and texted a bit. We hung out in St. Simon’s Island for the GA/FL game, and Chris asked Allison to go on a real date when they came home. We went to Mexican and watched “How to Train Your Dragon” while eating candy, and we haven’t stopped talking ever since! A few weeks after that we became boyfriend-girlfriend, and the rest is history!”

Allison, tell us a little about Chris.
“Chris’ charm was what interested me at first. He knew exactly how to treat me from the beginning. He is so attentive to everything that I say, and he never forgets details. Chris is the kind of guy that will make you laugh all day, every day. If I have a bad day, talking to him always makes me smile. He is not one to sugar-coat how he is feeling, and he says things the way they are. I am not always like that, so he balances me out in that way. He is so easy-going, and he never gets stressed about anything. Chris is one of six kids, so his family is so much fun to be around. They are very laid back, just like Chris. Chris complements me and makes me feel like I am the most special girl in the world. I knew from the beginning that Chris and my relationship was special and different than any of my past relationships. I am so blessed to have found such a sweet, fun, and hilarious man!”

Chris, how would you describe your bride-to-be?
“I would describe Allison as being very sweet and kind. She makes me a better person every day and I cannot wait to marry her. She always sees the best in everyone and puts others before herself. She is a very loyal friend and would do anything for anyone. She always challenges me and pushes me to be the very best. She is also very anal and loves things to be clean, which is the opposite of me. It’s impossible to not smile while being around her, she is so positive and makes everything better. I am beyond lucky to be marrying such a genuine sweet girl who will be such an amazing wife and mother someday.”

Considering all the planning that goes into a wedding, what do you hope the end result will be like?
“We want it to be fun, traditional, and energetic! We want our friends to say that it was awesome and they had a lot of fun. We want them to be excited for us as a couple and to see our marriage develop.”

Allison and Chris would love to hear from you. Leave them a comment and well-wishes below!
