I first met Lindsey when we were journalism students at the University of Georgia. Our classes were collaborating on a story — Lindsey was working on the written side of a medical piece, and I was focused on the photography. Lindsey was always so sweet; so I was thrilled when, years later, she called us up to tell me about her engagement to Chris! What a lucky guy! Of course, Eileen and I were lucky, too. We’ve had so much fun getting to spend real quality time together with this easy-going, intelligent, and always friendly couple. At first, I couldn’t believe Lindsey had recalled my photographic work from so long ago, or that she had begun following as Blume Photography was born and grew. But now, when I look back at my early work — shots of medical instruments and clinic waiting rooms — well, I understand even less.
But thank you, Lindsey! We’ve loved every part of it. As photographers, yes — but also just hanging out as friends. From exploring Athens and getting drinks with you two during your engagement shoot, to Skype chats from Philadelphia (I’m still jealous; I have a soft spot for Philly because of my childhood years there!); to the big celebration, meeting your lovely families, and even catching up briefly when you were home this Christmas. We’re so excited for everything you two have to look forward to. Enjoy it all!
