we just got back from celebrating a gorgeous wedding with our friends elaine and eric at ashton gardens near atlanta today! eileen and i were so thrilled to be a part of it, especially since eileen and elaine have known each other since the third grade, when elaine and her family first arrived from vietnam. so that shared history — and getting to catch up with elaine’s family — made it super sweet. for me, it was awesome to chat with eric and his family about their home state of alaska, where i spent a couple memorable summers as a middle-schooler. in fact, elaine and eric live in anchorage now. they just arrived in georgia on tuesday, when we shot their last-minute engagement session (see a sneak peek of that here),  and now they have to fly back post-haste for eric’s new job, which starts tomorrow. (seriously!? bleh!) no worries, the honeymoon will come in good time.
