kristin and i have known each other ever since we were four years old. so yeah, you could say that we go waay back. back when we thought boys had “cooties” and when playing around in a big mosquito net was our idea of fun.
when kristin asked us to do her wedding photography, i was absolutely THRILLED. it’s been amazing to see kristin grow into the beautiful, determined woman she is today. kristin is currently a law student in d.c. and her fiancé chris is an atlanta business owner in the commercial fixtures industry. because of their long-distance relationship, kristin tried to get as much wedding stuff done as possible while she was in the atl. so, we met up with the fun-loving couple at stone mountain park for their engagement shoot.
to start it off, phillip had them climb on top of this moss-covered roof. this, of course, was his brilliant idea of an icebreaker. i held my breath as phillip placed his feet precariously on the edge of the chimney and leaned all the way over the edge of the roof with his camera. this next image was totally worth it, though.
before the shoot, chris told me that he was nervous about having pictures taken. i told him, just ignore us and enjoy being with the love of your life. i think you can tell just how much he adores kristin. who wouldn’t?
heading down to the lake for some fishing lessons…
see? his eyes are still on her… 🙂
kristin and chris actually met while they were still in high school, but didn’t start dating until after college. so, during the 7+ years of knowing each other, they were able to build a solid friendship. “we’re buds,” kristin said.
both of them hopped up on the fence, sitting side by side. they challenged each other to a thumb war match and then a game of slaps. i couldn’t help but enjoy myself as i watched them laughing and and being so cute with each other.
congratulations, kristin and chris! thanks for entrusting us with documenting your big event. we can’t wait till your wedding next year!
