good morning, kristi!  i hope you have your coffee ready. here it is!

this engagement session is one i’ve really been looking forward to posting. i know kristi has been looking forward to it, too — very patiently, i might add. i’m pretty sure michael has been on pins and needles about it as well. right, michael? (as kristi once said about michael’s “love” of being photographed, insert sarcasm there.) 😉

no, actually this whole thing was kristi’s idea. you should know, eileen and i always feel sooo humbled when someone likes our work, meets us, mulls over their options, and finally chooses us to capture their lives through photography. but when kristi called us up from north carolina and booked us well in advance without so much as a meeting, we were blown away. right then, we knew something about kristi: she’s crazy. 😉  well, that and that the girl knows what she likes! she told us later that, after finding us on the web, she told michael at once, “i found our photographers.” we’re so glad she did! after spending one brief evening with these two, eileen and i already feel that same connection to them that kristi felt having “met” us through our images.

now, i mustn’t leave out moxie and nyah. (you’ll see ’em in the images below.) to be clear, kristi and michael are engaged to each other — not to these lovable four-legged friends. but considering the attention they get, it’s easy to forget. it was awesome to have this big happy family all together for the shoot. and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to michael’s mom, wendy, for coming all the way down with them and assisting with the “children.” thanks, wendy! we’re looking forward to seeing more of you.

since i know kristi likes to start her morning with a hot cup o’ joe and a little perusing of the blume blog — here’s to you, kristi. i’m raising my coffee cup to your and michael’s (and moxie and nyah’s) happiness together. we’re looking forward to getting back to savannah and palmetto bluff to see you! until soon…
