i can’t tell you how excited we were finally to get together with faith and subash for their engagement shoot at piedmont park. for one, it was pretty tricky finding a date when all our schedules matched up — especially since subash has been hard at work tidying up the gulf after the infamous oil spill. second, their october 10 wedding is just around the corner; so we knew we’d have to turn this september shoot around way more quickly than normal in order to get faith and subash their guest book in time for the big day! third, and most importantly, faith is a long-time friend to eileen and all-around amazing person; so we needed to inspect the man goods she was buying to make sure they fit the bill. i’m happy to report (if you actually understood that awkward turn of phrase) that they.. err, he did. not only does subash aid in historic environmental recovery projects; he also treats faith like a princess, which is exactly what she deserves.

it couldn’t have been a more perfect day. ok, so parking was a nightmare since they suddenly closed all motor vehicle entrances to the park. and i did leave photo equipment in subash’s trunk. but on the bright side, i needed the exercise, and subash was kind enough to drive the missing items over to us on his way home. on top of that, it was such a breezy, comfortable evening. (i can’t remember the last time it was below 190 degrees F for a photo shoot!) so how could we complain?

but all the good conditions in the world can’t substitute for the attitude and chemistry of your subjects. and, boy, did these two have chemistry. not to mention all the crazy antics they were willing to engage in to get that perfect image. well done, you two. and congratulations! thanks for letting us be a part of this exciting time in your lives…
