almost every little girl loves to daydream about her far-off wedding day. when it comes to actually planning one, almost every bride-to-be finds herself (like it or not) immersed in a complex sea of planning and wedding day minutiae she never knew existed. if the pre-wedding work begins to wear her down, she might need to get away for a while — say, visit the family back home and take morning jogs to clear her mind.

for emily, though, i imagine that kind of prescription might have served only to exacerbate the problem. that’s because when she goes out for a morning jog through the neighborhood with her mom, they run right past all the venues that made her wedding so breathtaking — as well as so special and intimate. luckily, emily isn’t the type to let the pressure get to her. every time we spoke or met up, from ross’s and her engagement shoot to their wedding day, emily always put us at ease with her ready smile and charm. even when the threat of thunderstorms and on-again-off-again rain loomed over the wedding day, she kept such a positive attitude and energy (though i’m sure her nerves had to be fraying underneath it all). and it didn’t hurt that her jogging-partner mom is a huge support and amazing planner/decorator. just look at their lovely home! (somebody needs to give this lady a show on the home & garden channel!)

and i had a great time with ross and the gang, too. he’s so easy-going and immediately friendly. with their combined strength, nothing’s gonna stop these two. congrats, you guys!

did i mention that emily’s dress had pockets!?!? in my book, dresses just don’t come any cooler than that. (well played, emily. well played.)
