If I could describe a couple’s personality as a color, I imagine the combo of Garrett & Yvonne would be a raging, brilliant rainbow! Or maybe neon plaid. I dunno. But there would definitely be pink mixed with earthy tones. The point is, they’re so multi-faceted, full of surprises, and share such great energy wherever they go. I love observing their consideration for each other, their exuberance for life, and the way they share it — from the familiar smiles and hugs I enjoy each time we meet, to the spontaneous conversations Garrett inevitably strikes up with passerby.
I’ve loved getting to know them, some of the real and raw parts of their individual stories, and — at last! — the redemptive power of love displayed in their story together. They met in an ice cream parlor in downtown Lawrenceville. Garrett was ordering rose-flavored ice cream. Yvonne was with a friend and on the way out. But the connection was made briefly, and it sparked a bright future! After the ice cream shop closed, Garrett stole the storefront sign (kinda with permission — is that still considered stealing? lol), and I’m so glad it made its way into their engagement session below. A shelter from the storm. A symbol of what they cherish together.
Congratulations, you two! Can’t wait to celebrate love and forever with you at your wedding soon!

“Eccentric, expressive, feminine, will talk your ear off, loves shells and weather, dependable, adventurous, lives for experiences, very excitable. Corgi in human body.”

“The wisest old young woman. Quite masculine, fantastically practical to an alarmingly alluring degree. Honest, quiet, intelligent, independent, my warrior queen. Can easily keep up with an in depth conversation in the thick of deep scientific topics. She lives to learn, unconditional love is something that comes naturally to her. She loves books, tea, yarn, watercolor painting, plotting world domination, and being comfy.”

“They laughed so hard they thought they’d break! They cried so hard they thought they’d die if dehydration. They ate such amazing cake that they’re sure to never forget. They, for a night, understand that as we love the very crazy in ourselves, we love the crazy in all of them.”
