As a life-long baseball player, Braves fan, and UGA alumnus who bleeds red and black, I can’t imagine a better evening than the annual UGA First Pitch Banquet. Of course I was hugely inspired to hear from keynote speaker and all-time sports legend Chipper Jones, whose portrait I had the honor to create as well (left). But I was also inspired by the Bulldogs this year. They’re an impressive group of young men, and I’m thrilled about the season ahead under Coach Stricklin’s leadership. As an illustration of their character, this year’s Bulldog seniors rejected the idea of “team captain,” instead choosing to recognize the leadership role every player must live up to. It was an emotional moment when Coach Strickland introduced the 2016 team captains, and an entire team stood to applause.

We were also thrilled to support this year’s silent auction, and I can’t wait to create some amazing artwork with you families who won our Family Portrait Sessions. Get excited — it’s gonna be fun, and a lot different than what you’ve come to expect from family photos!
