If you love beautiful weddings, you’ll swoon over this timeless affair at the historic DeKalb County Court House. But if you know Susan and Gautam, you’re sure to go even more gaga. That’s because everyone who knows them just has to fall in love with them. We certainly did! Since our first encounter with Susan and her amazing family and friends, we’ve grown only more fond of her with every passing portrait session. We love her quiet thoughtfulness, optimism and joy. And when we finally met Gautam — her equally brilliant and compassionate beau — to create their engagement portraits, we saw right away that this was a match made in heaven.

We especially loved meeting Susan and Gautam’s friends and family who travelled from out of state and even across the globe from India to celebrate with them! From the perfect ceremony at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church to the elegantly appointed details at the court house’s pristine ballroom, this celebration was worthy of such a dynamic duo! We especially loved the meaning behind Susan’s earrings, which belonged to Gautam’s mother in India, and the real sword they used to cut their wedding cake, a generations’ long tradition in Susan’s family. Congratulations, you two! We can’t wait to see where your life adventures take you next. Together, it can only get better!
