wenting & lin are getting married | athens, ga wedding photographer | atlanta wedding photographer

it’s a fascinating thing about world traveling. you really never can predict how your travels will change your life. but you can pretty well bet, in one way or another, they will. that certainly has been eileen’s and my experience. from service projects in south america, to studies abroad in europe, and — perhaps most of all — our fated first meeting in japan, every experience changed the course of our lives for the better. so for us, it’s indescribably sweet to see the paths of two fellow world-wanderers crossing as ours did. wenting and lin both came to the united states from china to work on doctorate degrees at the university of georgia. here, they met. here lin first declared his love to wenting. (here he waited patiently awhile for wenting to come around.) here wenting fell in love with lin, too. (that ol’ charmer! how could she resist!?) and here they have become surrounded by such a wonderful, supportive group of friends, this little georgia town that once seemed far off has become a little more like home.

eileen and i were thrilled when wenting first dropped in at our studio, eyes shining with excitement as she talked about lin and their wedding plans. we couldn’t help but share her excitement, especially when she revealed that she and lin had seen our work and wanted us to lend our style to their wedding portraits together — and with friends — before they returned home for the big day. (not to mention, it’s kinda “geili” — “cool,” as lin taught me — to think about our work on display somewhere inside china.) 😉

next month, this precious couple will return to china for a wedding celebration with family and friends. we wish we could be there to celebrate with you both, wenting and lin! i’m sure such a trip would be nothing less than life-changing — this particular trip will certainly change your lives even more than you know. the best kind of change imaginable! although we can’t be there in-person, we’re so honored you wanted us to be a part of your story. we hope you’ll treasure these images and the memories throughout a long and happy life together!
