awwwwww!! that’s right, ladies. might as well get those ooh’s and aww’s out of the way — for the moment, anyway. (there are more pics of little jack to come down below.) they don’t get any cuter than this little tike. who knew when candi and david were just young sweethearts in our high school class that they would so soon produce this beautiful family? you may remember their pre-jack family session. a lot has changed since then thanks to this new addition.
generally we don’t publish so many images in a single blog post, but today we’re squeezing two sessions into one — candi’s maternity session and jack’s newborn portraits. plus, we just loved the way these images turned out. (helps when you have such a photogenic family, eh?) in fact, i originally had even more photos to show you. but then my lovely and wise bride stepped in with a reasonable recommendation: that i should spend a little more time exercising my editing skills and spare you the 100 or so other photos i was about to throw your way. so here’s what we’re left with — 24 finalists, culminating in (you guessed it!) more portraits of that adorable newcomer to this little place we call earth.
big shout out and thank you to “sweet t.” (grandma) for all your help entertaining natalie during the shoot! (who knew kids could still be so amused by an apple in this day and age!?)
every pregnant woman’s battle…
to anyone out there thinking hey, babies are cute. i think i’ll get one, be advised! the little halos babies seem to wear in photographs are only worn to disguise their sinister ways. (just look at the face of baby’s big sister. looks mischievous, right? that’s because kids become easier to read as they grow up!) i spent at least five minutes photoshopping urine stains from mom’s clothes in this shot. every time we tried to position this “innocent” little baby, he fired upon us with killer accuracy. on one occasion i actually had to throw myself as a human shield in front of my camera. (i’m telling you — this kid has the same sense of humor as his father.)
