His eyes lighting up as she walked down the aisle, he slightly contorted his face and pushed his tongue into his cheek to keep from crying. She noticed, but didn’t do anything to make it easier for him. She looked hard back into his eyes, smiling uncontrollably.

When it comes to emotional expression, rarely can a room of guests compete with the groom who has just seen his bride. And to be clear, the look on Walker’s face was the truest, most sincere expression of awe and gratitude imaginable. But the rest of the room, too, lit up in awe at the sight as these two individuals came together to pledge themselves to the adventure ahead of them. Sarah and Walker share in common a unusual personality — an affable, approachable, others-centered, servant-leader quality that is utterly magnetic. So an alternate scenario in which they wouldn’t have somehow attracted one another seems logically impossible. That magnetism could be felt in the heightened sense of joy from everyone who had come to celebrate them.

Every detail, from florals to delicious Southern food and the bride’s astonishing gown, came together and reflected the simple elegance that Sarah and Walker live in every day.
