I remember my first conversation by phone with Beth, way back in July of 2014. I always love it when a bride calls us at the studio, rather than sending an email alone. You can bet that anyone who makes that effort is especially enthusiastic about her upcoming wedding — and I could tell by the excitement in Beth’s voice that she couldn’t wait to marry Robert. I also knew right away that we were going to have a ball getting to know these two. At the time, they still didn’t have a venue or even a wedding date nailed down. But one thing they knew: This was going to be the day they’d waited for all their lives. The beginning of a truly grand adventure. Believe me when I say, these two are made for one another — so in love.

After all our time spent with these amazing people (from our first meet-up over cold Coca-Colas to their epically fun engagement session at Piedmont Park, where we finally met Robert’s daughter Whitney and the family dog, Jake), the wedding felt like our own family’s affair. The celebration at Primrose Cottage in Roswell, GA, was beautiful. The sense of joy was even more so! We loved seeing Robert’s son, Ryan, at his side as a proud groomsman. We couldn’t get enough of that gleam in the eyes of both their mothers, either, as they looked on contentedly at the strong love and partnership their children had found in each other. (Equally amusing was the gleam in the eye of Robert’s mother as she completely tore up the dance floor with him later in the evening! As well as that of the groomsmen supporting the Royals, whom you see celebrating below as they watch the team go on to defeat the Chiefs in the televised playoff game.)

From the red roses and pink florals, to that jaw-dropping wedding gown (the heaviest I’ve ever lifted for photos!) and classic getaway car, the wedding was beautifully traditional with a modern twist.. and fun beyond compare.
