Ashley and Andy’s wedding was unique in so many ways. It was truly a dream wedding thanks to Magic Moments — an amazing family of planners, designers, caterers and venues (including the beautiful Little Gardens pictured here) — who brought Ashley’s creative ideas to life. That includes one of the most brilliant, innovative ideas I’ve ever seen for a wedding ceremony: Ashley’s concept for a spiral-shaped outdoor aisle, complete with custom-made lamp stands. It was visually stunning, and emotionally wonderful to see the couple pass and greet every attendee. They also took advantage of the design to make every guest a “ring bearer,” as they passed the rings along for everyone to place their best wishes on until they arrived up front for the ring ceremony. Awesome!
My favorite part was the honest, emotional moments among these excellent families. I couldn’t keep my eyes dry when Ashley’s father, Bill, saw her for the first time — or as he struggled to contain his emotions during his toast. (I guess that all comes with my being a dad to two girls now.) I was especially inspired by the huge amazement and joy on Ashley and Andy’s faces as they first saw all the details put together for them by Magic Moments. These two are so genuine, and it’s obvious they really count their blessings humbly and take to heart all the goodness in their life. I love it!
This gorgeous wedding was particularly cool as it was won at auction and gifted to the couple by Ashley’s mother and step-father, and all of us vendors were able to donate our services to raise funds for Bert’s Big Adventure, a wonderful cause created by Atlanta radio’s The Bert Show and helping terminally ill children. You’ll be amazed by what you see. But first, congrats to you guys again, Ashley and Andy. Your love is the most beautiful thing on this page. And we’ve loved getting to know you! Now let’s here from you.. 🙂
How did you two meet?
“We met on my freshman year, his junior year high school Spring Break. Jenn Davidson, my bridesmaid, introduced us. We stayed friends all through high school, never dated. Ashley went to college in Southern Mississippi and moved back home when hurricane Katrina hit. We started dating shortly after I moved home. We have dated and lived together almost nine years. We were engaged on July 3, 2012.”
Ashley, how would you describe Andy?
“He is the most generous, thoughtful and loving man. He is an amazing friend to everyone he meets. I cannot imagine not being able to share my life without my best friend.”
Andy, tell us about Ashley.
“My bride is the most beautiful caring and loving person that I know. Â Ashley is my best friend.”
What three words best describe the kind of celebration you’re planning?
“Modern, romantic, fun.”
How would you like your friends and family to remember your wedding?
“We want all of our friends and family to leave saying that it was the most fun and amazing event they have ever seen. Being that we are both in the event world, all of our friends and family are anxiously awaiting to see what our big day has in store!”
